2014 Jaguar XJR

The supercharged 5.0-liter V8 packs an aggressive 550-horsepower at 6,500 rpm, a 502 pound-feet torque at 5,500 rpm max, and intelligent start-stop control, this engine allows a 0-60mph sprint in 4.4 seconds and an electronically limited peak speed of 174mph. Thrust and power is routed to the rear tires via an eight-speed automatic transmission mechanism which tracks acceleration and deceleration, throttle and braking patterns, road load and cornering forces. On automatic mode, these allow smooth gearshift changing to accommodate different driving conditions, while corner recognition offers swift and seamless overtaking.

2014 Jeep Cherokee

Base models of the Jeep Cherokee come with a 2.4 liter, Inline 4 Tigershark engine delivering 184 horsepower. The more popular and better choice for a Cherokee is the 3.2 Liter Pentastar engine, a V6 that gives you 271 horsepower to go with the 239 lb ft of torque. The Pentastar should be your first option if you intend to do any towing. Both Tigershark and the Pentastar engine's come with the new 9 speed automatic transmission that will provide smooth power delivery on the highway and improved fuel efficiency.

2014 Hyundai Equus

The 2014 Equus still comes with the 5.0 liter V8 engine that produces 429 horsepower. The drivetrain is topped off with an 8 speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC capabilities to run in manual mode. The new suspension now gives you a smooth ride whether you are in the Sport mode with its enhanced damping or Normal mode for added comfort. The front of the 2014 Equus begins with a more subtle appearance with thinner chrome front bars on its grille. On either side of the grille the 2 headlamps now utilize a jeweled design adding to this cars elegance. The wing like lighting compartment is given their own chrome accents and a black matte finish. The LED fog lamps are standard. From the side, the wheels may be the first to catch your attention. It is anything but dull with their silver high gloss shine. The mirrors are new, as are the horizontal tail lamp graphics in the rear.

2014 Kia Forte Koup

The new Koup is available in EX and SX, with a powerful engine. A 2.0 liter four cylinder engine and a 1.6 liter turbo are amongst the choices you will have. In addition, a six speed automatic transmission is offered to go with the new automatic paddle shifters. Drivers can take advantage of better performance technology by Kia. The engineers have modified the performance capabilities with multiple upgrades that include driver assist technologies. A "Rear Camera Display", a custom fit steering wheel, and increased brake size are all standard. This will come in handy since the Kia Forte Koup produces 201 horsepower and almost 200 lb ft of torque. The new sports car suspension system also improves performance capabilities to give the driver the ultimate in handling ability.

2014 Audi R8 V10 Plus vs. 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Pack

It doesn't get much faster than these two. The Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R tear relentlessly at the pavement with four driven wheels and an uninterrupted supply of thrust courtesy of twin-clutch transmissions. Want a quicker all-wheel-drive car? Your options are the Lamborghini Aventador ($400,000) and Bugatti Veyron (add a million).
The GT-R, then, with its 545 hp and $116,710 price, would seem a bargain. A Track Pack adds brake cooling ducts, retuned shocks, higher spring rates, and a rear seat delete, on top of the forged wheels borrowed from the Black Edition. New for the R8 this year is a twin-clutch transmission and a V10 Plus model. The latter hones the car with ceramic rotors, a smaller fuel tank, fixed rate shocks, manual seats, and carbon-fiber trim pieces. That's a total weight savings of 130 pounds. Oh, and it makes 25 hp more.
