The new Allard J2X is a gorgeous machine. But what is not apparent is the great chassis this car has. I have seen the chassis in the final assembly stage. It is designed to be very rigid and is perfectly matched to the front and rear suspensions. This car will take a ton of torque and handle anything you throw at it.I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of protection designed into the chassis, with twin roll bars inside the cowling area and over the fuel tank.

The SLR has a supercharged 5.5 (5439cc) litre dry sumped 90 degree V8. It produces 466.8 kW at 6500rpm (626 hp) and 780 N·m (575 ft·lbf)
The Maybach 57 and 62 were the first automobile models of the Maybach brand since the brand’s revival by DaimlerChrysler. They are derived from the Mercedes-Benz Maybach concept car presented at the 1997 Tokyo Motorshow (which was based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan). DaimlerChrysler attempted to buy the Rolls-Royce/Bentley marque when Vickers offered the company up for sale. When this attempt failed (they were outbid by BMW and Volkswagen respectively) they introduced the Maybach as a direct challenger in 2002. Both models are variants of the same ultra-luxurious automobile.
The 'Moby' is a concept by WooJin Chung which is an electricity powered vehicle. It is based on the idea to decrease the volume of the vehicle so that it is convenient in small alleys and for storage. The innovative part about this is that it separates into two to make it even more smaller. It displaces its back part with a docking system, which can be altered by different types of optional parts like a high capacity battery or another passenger seat. If you compare it to standard four wheelers, it takes up half their size in parking lots. It feels more like riding a motorcycle than driving a car however. It has big circular entrances that allow more convenient and flexible use of the seating area rather than doors. The name Moby is because the vehicle resemble Moby Dick, the whale.
Mike Vetter and his Florida-based company, 'The Car Factory' have come up with this rather strange and alien like customized car called the Extra-Terrestrial Vehicle or EVT. It looks like it's right off the set of a sci-fi movie. Under this futuristic looking car, there lies the heart of a normal little Chevrolet Aveo. However, if you don't want an Aveo, you can also opt for a Porsche Boxster donor car. I don't want to think that anyone would want to strip down their Porsche to make it look like it's from Star Trek, but people have weird ideas. The EVT is perfect for geeks who can afford it. It's available on eBay at the moment for $86,000 and mind you, this is with the Aveo.
The 2010 Fisker Karma is a new gas/electric hybrid luxury car. The Karma is a 4-door, rear-wheel-drive sedan built in Finland and distributed by U.S.-based Fisker Automotive, Inc. It pairs a battery-powered electric motor with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder for 403 hp total. Unlike most hybrids, Karma uses plug-in technology the company calls Q DRIVE. It can run up to 50 miles solely on electric power. After that, the gasoline engine turns on a generator, which charges the car's lithium-ion battery pack to provide power to the electric motor. Since the electric motors drive the wheels directly, no transmission is needed

Most of us would be happy (ecstatic, really) to own the 2009 Mosler MT900 GTR XX. However, as is often the case with items that claim to be the best, somebody has come around to make it even better.John Gocha (we hope that's not actually "Gotcha!") and his company, Intense Automotive Design, claim to have stripped and rebuilt a Mosler MT900 GTR XX. In doing so, they have created a one-of-a-kind hellion - if the car really does exist. Even if the car only exists on paper, the concept alone is magnificent.
The F700 comes with Pre-Scan, a laser-powered, forward-looking, road-analyzing hydraulic active suspension that changes continuously depending on what the lasers see on the road ahead. A pair of lasers mounted in the headlamps directs the hydraulic suspension units at the four corners of the car. The driver’s side has another laser built into the mirror, stopping the door from opening if it finds any obstructions.

The Stallion trike from Thoroughbred Motorsports, a subsidiary of trike converters Motor Trike, features a frame and suspension designed completely in-house by Motor Trike engineers, and a 2.3-liter Ford four-cylinder engine. The hand laid fiberglass body can be painted in 1 of 5 colors, black, red, cherry, silver or white. The Stallions engine produces 150 horsepower and 160 ft/lbs of torque, that translates to a power-to-weight ratio rivaling a Corvette. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 5 speed automatic transmission (with reverse), while steering control is handled by a steering wheel - rather than handlebars.
The Blastolene Special, built by Randy Grubb, is powered by a 29 litre WWII M47 Patton tank engine, hence the name, obviously. This gigantic engine puts out 1600 bhp @ 2800 rpm and 1600 ft lbs of torque at 2400 rpm. All this power is run through an Allison HD4060 6 speed automatic gearbox, giving the 9 tonne Tank Car a 0-60 sprint time of 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 140 mph.
The I.D.E.A KAZ was a luxury limousine concept from 2001. The KAZ, Keio Advanced Zero-emission vehicle, has a total of 8 wheels, 6 of which are involved in turning. Each of the KAZ's 8 wheels is powered by its own electric motor - hence the zero emissions.Unfortunately, whereas most luxury vehicles have names which evoke a sense of prestige and quality, the I.D.E.A KAZ sounds more like an electronic gadget.
During the filming of 'Batman Begins' the movie makers used 8 different Batmobile's, four of which were drivable and surprisingly rapid. The Batmobiles were powered using 340 horsepower GM 350 V8's giving them a 0-60 time of around 5.3 seconds and a theoretical top speed of 220 miles per hour. The design is based on a cross between a Lamborghini Countach and a Humvee. The designer actually bought an airfix model of both the Countach and Humvee and played around with the models until the desired look was achived.
The insane potential widowmaker Dodge conceived and subsequently named the Tomahawk was first seen in 2003 at the Detroit Auto Show. The bike is powered by the same 500 hp 8.3 litre V-10 found in the legendary Viper, and is capable of propelling the concept up to 300 mph+, theoretically. However in practice the poor aerodynamics of the bike would cause it to become unstable at high speeds and it would be suicidal to try.Dodge produced the Tomahawk concept to hammer home its power orientated design philosophy, which encompasses cars such as the Viper, Magnum SRT-8 and Hemi Super 8 among others, it was never intended for mass production.n.
The Mercedes F 300 Life-Jet was first shown back in 1997 at the 57th Frankfurt International Motor Show. The Life-Jet incorporates an active tilt control system allowing the front wheels and body of the tandem two-seater to lean into corners. This means the F 300 Life-Jet can attain cornering speeds similar to those of a motorbike. The active tilt control also increases the overall ride comfort for the passengers by moving the cornering forces to a central, vertical axis, rather than a sideways force. As well as looking like great fun.
