Korea’s first supercar



Powered by a 2.7-liter V6 Hyundai that’s sourced with four different outputs, the Spirra’s low-end line will produce 173hp and 245Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. The next model configuration will come with a small turbo that pushes up the performance to 326hp and 471Nm, while the third level pushes the output even further to around 402hp and 490Nm. The highest end and most powerful version will come with twin-turbos that produce somewhere around 444hp to 493hp and a maximum torque of 539Nm. This top-of-the-line version also comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and goes from 0-60 mph in just a little over 3.5 seconds with a top speed of around 186mph.

Dagger GT - 300 mph supercar


While the new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport has just entered the Guinness Book of Records with an average top speed of 267 mph, a new 2000 HP super-car is about to become the fastest super-car in the world.It’s called Dagger GT and will be capable of hitting a top speed of 300 mph. It will be offered in three versions. The first will be a hard-core racing model with the second being a street-legal comfortable-riding sport model. The third model to be offered will be a soft-riding, luxurious GT-X model that looks and feels like a million-dollar car, but runs like a bat-out-of-hell. In 2011 there will be 5 units delivered, each having a price of $450,000.

Australia’s Joss supercar


Power for the Australian super-car will come from an all aluminum engine provided by a European automaker. This engine is said to produce more than 500hp and will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission with a reverse via linkage system. Stopping power will come from six piston brake calipers in the front and four piston system in the rear with ventilated dics all around. The Joss super-car brags of carbon fiber construction causing it to weigh less than 2,200lbs. It runs the 0-60mph sprint in under three seconds, the quarter mile in 11 seconds, and the estimated top speed is 186mph.

Spartan V

How can a car that’s stripped down to everything except a tube-frame carbon fiber body and a 170 horsepower Ducati 1198’s engine be something worth the $85,000 price tag attached to it?Well, normally cars like that aren’t worth even half of what this car is worth, but there’s something uniquely intoxicating about the Spartan V. Sure, it’s got no wipers, no doors, no turn signals, and even no headlights. But what it does have is a lightweight carbon fiber body that weighs around 660 pounds. It’s got a top speed of 280 km/h and it can blast off the starting block and reach 100 km/h in just three seconds.

Galatea Revision



Unlike many kit cars that are based on a fairly old donor car, the Galatea is a comparatively modern car with modern features. Some of the features on the car shown include front and side airbags, a V6 engine, leather seats, moonroof, and an Infiniti sound system,
” stated the press release.
The Hyundai Tiburon was used as a base for the new design, because it already has a strong Italian influence in the side profile of the body. The objective was to replace the original front and rear end with a design that amplifies the Italian influence. Every part was built from scratch, instead of using existing parts as a template. Therefore, every surface is new and dramatically different from the original design,” stated the press release.

Concept Cars: Citroen Survolt



The Citroen Survolt was one of the concept cars unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The concept is an all-electric vehicle which, according to Citroen, is a mix of "high fashion, extravagance and more than a hint of motor racing punch”. The Survolt is an incredibly complicated design which has a huge number of little styling details and features which helps keep the eye interested. It's not a pretty car in the classic sense of the word, but it's a bold design - which is almost as good.

The BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics concept car is a 2+2 sports car which epitomizes BMW's latest design philosophy of lightweight, high performance and lower emissions The concept was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.The BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics Concept offers the performance potential of a BMW M vehicle, but also a standard of fuel efficiency and emission management that exceeds the current levels achieved by the latest compact cars. This is due to the combination of BMW Active ybrid components with an extremely economical combustion engine, and outstanding aerodynamic qualities.

Brabus T65 RS Vanish



The Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series is one of those German hyper-cars which is so immense in its performance capabilities you'd think it would be left well alone by the tuning companies. And for the most part that's true. However specialist Merc tuners Brabus are always up for a challenge, and the SL65 AMG Black Series is just their sort of car.The Brabus T65 RS Vanish is the result. An 800 horsepower monster with a top speed in excess of 200 mph, and a 0-62 mph time well under 4 seconds. In fact the T65 RS Vanish is so quick off the line it can hit 124 mph - about the top speed of a normal family car - in just under 10 seconds.

Concept Cars: Bugatti Galibier 16C



The Bugatti Galibier 16C is the next model due out from Bugatti. Production of the Galibier 16C is due to start in 2013, one year after the Veyron's production run is supposed to end.Like the Veyron the Galibier 16C uses a prominent two-tone color scheme, although for the Galibier 16C concept Bugatti have gone one step further and added a chrome on midnight blue finish.

Concept Cars: Audi Avatar



The Audi Avatar is a concept vehicle which was created by Edwin Conan (Yi Yuan), a graduate of RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) University in Australia. The Avatar was developed during Edwin's final year at the university as part of his degree project. The Avatar is an electric powered super car concept which is designed for about 20-25 years in the future. The shape was inspired by the 1937 Auto Union Type C Streamline racing car, and both cars - even though they are separated by a century - share the same clinical lines and pronounced wheel arches.

Concept Cars: Kia Ray



Designed at the Kia Design Center America (KDCA) in Irvine, California, the Kia Ray was one of the vehicles displayed at the 2010 Chicago Motor Show. It was revealed during the Kia press conference at the event. The Ray is a stylish and sleek concept designed to help promote Kia's alternative fuel and power train research program, and its sub-brand coined "EcoDynamics". All of Kia's most fuel efficient vehicles will receive the EcoDynamics badge in the future.

Strange vehicles: DeltaWing Racing Car



The DeltaWing Racing Car is a radical proposal for a new type of vehicle for the 2012 IndyCar racing series.DeltaWing LLC, of Indianapolis, introduced the concept at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show. During the unveiling, Dan Partel, Chief Executive Officer of DeltaWing LLC said of the vehicle; "Today marks a fundamental shift in how race fans and the general public will view all racing cars in the future; this is a game changer. This radical prototype takes open wheel racing to a new level from both an engineering standpoint and the overall spectator experience."

Concept Cars: Audi A9



The Audi A9 concept is a stylish proposal for a luxury sports saloon which was developed by the talented Spanish designer Daniel Garcia. Garcia's previous work includes the Ducati 6098 R oncept from 2009.The A9 concept would be positioned higher than Audi's current flagship model, the A8, and is aimed at other top-end luxury saloons like the Porsche Panamera, and if it ever went into production, the Lamborghini Estoque..

Koenigsegg Agera



At the 2010 Geneva Motor Show Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg revealed the Agera, an enhanced and lightly restyled model derived from the company's CC model. There’s no major changes to the Koenigsegg formula for the Agera. It gets an unbelievably powerful V8 engine and the accompanying insane performance numbers. To be exact the engine is a 4.7 liter V8 with two turbochargers. It produces 910 horsepower @ 6,850 rpm and 1100 Nm of torque @ 5,100 rpm. In the right hands it only takes 3.1 seconds to hit 62 mph (100km/h). Top speed is an estimated 245 mph.

Concept Cars: Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta by Pininfarina



To mark the year of Pininfarina's 80th anniversary, and also Alfa Romeo's centenary, the famous Italian styling house has developed a stunning sports car concept for the manufacturer.The unusually named 2uettottanta concept is based on the Alfa Romeo Spider platform and shares the same layout. Mounted up front is a longitudinally positioned 1750 cc (1.8 litre) four-cylinder turbocharged engine. This engine is designed to call on the heritage of the 1750 Veloce - one of many connections to past Alfa models. The 2uettottanta name itself is supposed to be a reflection of the popular Duetto.

Concept Cars: Volkswagen Kai-Nalu



The Volkswagen Kai-Nalu is a concept vehicle which was created by Josep Ferriol, a Spanish designer and graduate of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. The Kai-Nalu was created as part of his final year thesis.The Volkswagen Kai-Nalu is a futuristic sports car concept that features a unique design which is composed of two distinctly different elements. Inspired by the waves of the Mediterranean sea as they smash into the shoreline and rocks near where Ferriol lives, the Kai-Nalu features a flowing glass upper section - which is designed to mimic the sea, and angular, jagged bodywork underneath - which represents the rocks of the coastline.

Panoz Abruzzi 'Spirit of Le Mans'



After the initial teaser image of the Panoz Abruzzi - which was published at the start of May 2010, Panoz has unleashed three more pictures which the reveal the car in greater detail, and from all angles, except inside and under the hood. Panoz have yet to reveal the full details of the drive train, and so far the only facts are a 600 hp power output and a torque figure of 590 ft-lbs (800Nm). As you'd expect from such a car, all the power is sent to the rear wheels.

Concept Cars: Ferrari 612 GTO



The Ferrari 612 GTO concept is the work of Sasha Selipanov, an extremely talented, and also incredibly irate, automotive designer based in Berlin, Germany. Sasha calls himself 'the angry car designer' for some reason, and has no time for fools. The 612 GTO concept is a proposal for the next generation 612 Scaglietti, but with a high-performance GTO twist and completely revised aesthetics.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport



Now that the Veyron is reaching the end of its production run - to make way for the next all-conquering Bugatti model - the company is pulling out all the stops to produce one last batch of cars which will blow the doors off any other production car on the planet.
Called the rather stereotypical 'Super Sport', this version of the Veyron has just taken home the Guinness World Record for the fastest production car. Bugatti's very own test driver, Pierre Henri Raphanel, was the man tasked with taking the Veyron Super Sport up to it's maximum velocity. The average speed of his two-run, Guinness-approved drives was an insane 267.81 mph!

Auto Veloce F430



Based on the shores of Lake Biwa in Japan is a tuning company called Auto Veloce. Now normally when a high end tuning outfit decides to develop some aftermarket aerodynamic body panels for exotic machinery they try to expand on the original vehicle with sympathetic upgrades designed to reflect and enhance the original designers vision. Not so with Auto Veloce. They've decided to spit in the face of Ferrari by developing a range of accessories for the F430 which are unashamedly influenced by the styling of Ferrari's main rival Lamborghini.

Strange vehicles: PS-Pod



Anyone who saw the 2008 Batman movie 'The Dark Knight' couldn't have failed to notice the crazy motorcycle thingy called the Batpod. The Batpod was designed to fit inside Batman's other ride, the Tumbler, and be used as an escape vehicle - or additional means of transport if the Tumbler was damaged beyond repair. The Batpod was an insane creation, and it featured a number of unusual ideas. Firstly the rider lies belly down on the bike. Secondly it was steered by an unusual system which eschewed normal handlebars for weird independent handles mounted almost vertically.

Concept Cars: Bugatti Aerolithe



The Bugatti Aerolithe concept is the work of Douglas Hogg, a 2010 graduate of Coventry University's Transport design course. The concept is a proposal for a glamorous sports coupe with dramatic swooping lines. Created for the year 2025, the Aerolithe is named after a prototype vehicle Bugatti unveiled at the 1935 Paris Motor Show. That car, the Bugatti Electron Aerolithe, was the vehicle which spawned legendary Bugatti Atlantic models.

Strange vehicles: CRAB Robot



The CRAB Robot is an insanely well crafted piece of conceptual futuristic 3D design which was produced by Jamie Martin - the same guy who created the Cobra Venom V8 SHC hatchback concept and the award winning London Navigator bus concept. For the concept Jamie has created a fictional, yet compelling back story which explains how and why the droid came about and perhaps more interestingly, what happened after it hit the streets.

Strange vehicles: Sikorsky X2



31st July 2010. Amazingly the title for the Worlds Fastest Helicopter has stood since the mid-1980s. The previous record of 249 mph was held by a British Army Westland Lynx helicopter. As it stands at the moment, the Sikorsky X2's maximum recorded speed is 258 mph, but it's an unofficial top speed. To claim the official Guinness title they'll need to repeat the high-speed run with Guinness officials and their timing gear present.

CDC Firebreather camaro



CDC (Classic Design Concepts) is a well respected tuning and performance Parts Company based in Michigan. CDC specializes in creating go-faster bits for the latest generation of American muscle cars. Their last full-vehicle creation was the Group 2 Widebody Dodge Challenger from 2009.When the 5th generation Chevrolet Camaro appeared, there were a huge number of Pontiac fans who sat patiently waiting for the next generation Firebird to arrive. Then the global recession hit, GM collapsed, and during the company's rebuild Pontiac was euthanized. Thousands of Firebird fanatics wept.

Strange vehicles: Boeing X-48B



There are two different types of remote control aircraft. There are those made by hobby fliers just for the fun of it. And then there are multi-million dollar remotely piloted aircraft developed by huge aerospace companies. The Boeing X-48B, quite obviously, falls into the latter category. The X-48B has a 6.4 meter (21 foot) wingspan, and weighs in at 230 kgs (500 lbs). Power comes from three turbojet engines mounted at the rear of the aircraft. It can fly at up to 136 mph (220 km/h), and reach an altitude of 3,000 meters (10,000 feet). Like I said, this isn't your everyday RC plane.

Concept Cars: Audi Gentleman's Racer



The Audi Gentleman's Racer is a design from Mikael Lugnegård a Swedish freelance designer who honed his skills studying Industrial Design at UID in Umeå, Sweden.The Gents Racer concept was obviously inspired by classic old school American hot rods, cars which were honest and simple hand built pieces of machinery. However for this concept Lugnegard has tried to incorporate the sort of clinical and neat lines common to all contemporary Audi's. And he's been quite successful!

Concept Cars: Kia POP



The Kia POP is one of the concept vehicles which is set to go on display at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The event opens on the 30th September and runs to the 17th October. More information on the POP will be here after its official unveiling.The Kia POP is a compact, electric powered, commuter car concept which has a bubbly and cute appearance. The slightly odd shape of the car, with its massive single piece windscreen/roof panel, is accentuated by the symmetrical oval side windows - which almost look as if they don't fit the shape of the vehicle.

Concept Cars: Alfa Romeo Essence



The Alfa Romeo Essence concept is a proposal for a highly stylized sportscar which is inspired by the shape of flowing fabrics. The vehicle's creator is Sam Holgate, a 2010 graduate of Coventry University's Transportation Design course.The Alfa Romeo Essence features a tapering streamlined body which is made from shape memory plastic. This flexible material actually changes shape as the air flows over it to create contours unique to that particular vehicle. After a while the bodywork would return to its original factory shape.

Concept Cars: DeTomaso Ghepardo



The DeTomaso Ghepardo concept is a creation of Danish designer Frederik Tjellesen. The car originally featured in an article in the Danish car magazine Bil Magasinet where it was used to suggest a new direction for the DeTomaso brand. Rumors of a return for the Italian manufacturer are gathering pace, and the company now has an official website and new logo. The DeTomaso Ghepardo (Italian for Cheetah), takes its styling inspiration from the appearance of fitted Italian suits. The grey paintwork and purple trim elements are a direct reference to this influence, as are the razor sharp style lines, and lapel-like contours of the hood.

Concept Cars: Audi e-tron Spyder



The Audi e-tron Spyder is the latest in the e-tron line of electric powered concept cars from Audi. Except whereas the original e-Tron concept from 2009, and the e-tron concept shown at the 2010 Detroit Motor Show were both 100 percent electric powered, the e-tron Spyder employs a hybrid diesel/electric drive train. The Audi e-tron Spyder features the first use of the new generation six-cylinder, twin-turbo, 3.0 TDI engine. This engine produces 300hp - which is 50hp up on the previous iteration of the engine found in the new Audi A8. The engine's peak torque output of 650 Newton meters is high, even in the sports car segment - and for a 3.0 liter diesel it's massive.

Concept Cars: Venturi America



The French firm Venturi has established themselves as one of the leading niche electric sports car manufacturers in the world. Their first model, the Venturi Fetish has been quietly zooming around since 2002, and despite the electric drive train it's got remarkable performance. It’s good news then that the Venturi America prototype the company showed off at the 2010 Paris Motor Show is based on the Fetish's platform.

Concept Cars: Lotus Eterne



The Lotus Lotus Eterne is one of the five all-new Lotus concept cars which were unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The Lotus Eterne is a four door luxury saloon which looks like an extended wheelbase version of the new Lotus Elite coupe. That's no coincidence either - it's supposed to look like a stretched Elite. Powering the Lotus Eterne is a 5.0 liter V8 engine delivering up to 620 horsepower and 720Nm of torque.

Concept Cars: Lotus Elise Concept



The Lotus Elise concept which was debuted at the 2010 Paris Motor Show is designed to provide an accurate preview of the new Elise due to hit the streets in 2015.Purists - and who else buys an Elise - will probably be rightfully unhappy about the fact the new Elise is heavier, more complicated and more expensive than the original Elise And they've got a right to be upset. Lotus had been carrying the flag for all driving enthusiasts with their lightweight and minimalist sports cars for years. Now the new generation of cars is not much different to any other sports car manufacturer.

Concept Cars: Nissan Townpod




The Nissan Town pod is a compact zero-emission city car concept which was debuted at the 2010 Paris Motor Show.But it's not just a car; the Town pod is also a mobile office and light commercial vehicle. The whole idea behind the concept is one of versatility and usability. The Nissan Town pod is specifically aimed at self-employed people, as these people's requirements from a vehicle can change daily. Francois Ban-con, general manager of Nissan's Exploratory and Advance Planning Department said of the concept:
