While the new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport has just entered the Guinness Book of Records with an average top speed of 267 mph, a new 2000 HP super-car is about to become the fastest super-car in the world. It’s called Dagger GT and will be capable of hitting a top speed of 300 mph. It will be offered in three versions. The first will be a hard-core racing model with the second being a street-legal comfortable-riding sport model. The third model to be offered will be a soft-riding, luxurious GT-X model that looks and feels like a million-dollar car, but runs like a bat-out-of-hell. In 2011 there will be 5 units delivered, each having a price of $450,000.

The apparent 300mph capability of the Dagger GT certainly seems impressive. But hasn't this model gone into full-scale production yet? I believe it was back in 1935 when the land speed record first exceeded this speed. So how about putting cars capable of such speed into full-scale production?
