Mitsubishi Mirage Sedan

Mitsubishi is showing the Concept G4 at the Shanghai auto show later this month, potentially previewing a U.S.-bound Mirage sedan. We get another glimpse at the G4 concept with newly released teaser photos, shown below. The Concept G4, which stands for “Global 4-door sedan,” features bold diamond-cut design cues in the headlights, grille, and taillights. Mitsubishi says the Concept G4’s short front overhang improves forward visibility and maneuverability, while the proportions balance interior space with aerodynamics. Like the Mirage hatchback shown at the New York auto show, the Concept G4 is powered by a 1.2-liter I-3 mated to a standard five-speed manual or available CVT. Mitsubishi claims the G4 will offer class-leading fuel economy thanks to its efficient powertrain and lightweight body made from lots of high-strength steel. The low curb weight is also said to offer agile driving dynamics, while still offering a stable and a comfortable ride.
