2013 Ford GT500 Carroll

Carroll Shelby was an automotive legend, this cannot be said enough. In order to honor him, a group called “Friends of Carroll Shelby” have created a one-off tribute car, honoring Carroll Shelby. The group consists of firms such as Ford, Ford Racing, and Shelby American. The car they created is a 2012 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Cobra and it was revealed at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. A normal GT500 has 662-hp but thanks to a Ford Racing 4.0-liter Whipple supercharger, the tribute Shelby GT500 Cobra pumps out 850-hp. To help with the added power, the engineers widened and enlarged the wheels. They also installed a specially designed hood from Shelby America. What a better way to honor a man who graced us with amazingly powerful cars, than to dedicate a monster of a pony to him. Production information and an official release date are unknown, but Ford is bound to release the info very soon.
