Mosler developed and produced extraordinary street and racing machines with a principal focus on lightweight technologies. The primary ingredient in the Mosler vehicles was extensive the use of the strongest and most expensive materials in the world. For example, the roof structure was a total of 20 layers of 3×3 twill carbon-fiber yielding a safety cell that proved to be the strongest structure the crash-testing agency had ever tested. Pound-per-pound, carbon-fiber is 5 times stronger than steel. Unfortunately Mosler was pulled into the vortex of the financial downturn and only produced one of its latest products, the 2012 Mosler RaptorGTR.
